Get To Know Me
I was born on February 8, 1931 to Winton and Mildred Dean in Indiana. I had a good childhood, however my mother died when I was very young. My father sent me to live with my Aunt and Uncle on a farm. I had a relatively normal childhood, I did everything any other kid of the time would do.
I went to college at Santa Monica to study law, but my heart just wasn't in it. I transferred to the University of California with a major in theater-one of my passions. My father however, didn't exactly approve of my choice. While interested in theater, I was also interested in car racing.
I had a very short acting career on the big, country stage. I starred in television as well as three movies: Giant, East of Eden, and most popular, Rebel Without a Cause. All in the span of one year's time. But I didn't forget my theater stage roots. As a matter of fact, my very first time on stage was in the dark Shakespearean play, "Macbeth".
Sadly...on September 30, 1955, I was killed in a car crash. I was only 24 years old. Even though I died a very untimely death, I feel very good with what I have accomplished in my lifetime. I have been given the chance to share my story one last time for the world before I move on forever. I don't know why I have been given a second chance after all these years, but I am very grateful. Please enjoy.
